Middleware Landscape
Â
There is no one way to integrate applications. You will generally have several options, depending on the requirements for the integrated system, and the abilities and limitations of each component. This complicates the middleware landscape, making for a variety of technologies that can be appropriately used to accomplish an integration goal.
Examine the middleware approaches you've been studying. Why are there so many differing technologies available? Interview an IT professional who has experience working with a middleware technology. What technology did this organization choose? What business need was solved? What were the benefits and challenges of the particular middleware solution? Based on what you've learned in this unit and what you've learned of the business needs of the organization, evaluate the choice this organization made. Is there a better approach? Why or why not? Include specific examples and reasoning in your response.
Defend and support your opinion and remember to properly cite your sources according to APA guidelines.
