detects a sensor alert

Home alarm system: The alarm system is activated only from 10 pm - 6 am. When activated, it monitors various sensors located on the doors and windows. If it detects a sensor alert, it waits for 1 minute for a user password input. If no correct password is received within this timeframe, it sets off an alarm. The alarm is shut off either manually by the user entering the password or after 15 minutes. If the alarm is not shut off by a user, it sends an alert message to a nearby police department.
