Introduction RFID is Radio Frequency Identification device. Basically it is the technology in which the any person or device is identified using radio frequency wave transmission. It can be used for detection over a distance of several meters away. The two tags used in this technology are called as tags and interrogators. Nowadays smart cards, mobile phones, watches as well as tags and labels are available in the market embedded with this technology based chips. Its frequency ranges from 125KHz to 2.45GHz. The basic components of any RFID are- 1. An coil or antenna 2. A transceiver. 3. A transponder which is also called RF. It is embedded with unique information which is electronically programmed.
