ECON 310: International Economics
The paper must be typed. The final paper should be 5-10 pages long, (while I want you to adhere to these guidelines, please keep in mind that the contents of your work will matter much more than its volume) Times New Roman, font size 12, double spacing, and one inch margins. There must be a bibliography/references section using the American Economic Association (AEA) citation style. The AEA citation guidelines can be found on the AEA webpage
https://www.aeaweb.org/sample_references.pdf
For your paper you are required to conduct a literature review on a specific topic from class or the textbook. A literature review is defined below:
Not to be confused with a book review, a literature review surveys scholarly articles, books and other sources (e.g. dissertations, conference proceedings) relevant to a particular issue, area of research, or theory, providing a description, summary, and critical evaluation of each work. The purpose is to offer an overview of significant literature published on a topic (University of
California Santa Cruz Library)
You should have no less than 10 citations in your bibliography. Scholarly books will count double. Books that merely collect and republish previously published works, as well individual book chapters, do not count double.
I have posted an example of a published literature review on D2L with this description, as well as a guide to writing literature reviews.
