I'm taking undergrad international studies forum in which a speaker comes to speech about a topic. This week professor Deborah Cowen came to speech about the securitization of logistical spaces and Walmart was an example of this topic. I'd like to ask you to help me to write 500-600 words essay about following questions.

1.How has the securitization of logistical spaces, such as ports and the Transport Workers Identity Credentials, impacted democratic processes and workers rights?

2. How have colonial legacies influenced contemporary logistics management and security?

3. what insights might we gain about contemporary imperialism by following the commodity chain instead of following the money?

During the lecture (speech), she emphasized Walmart as an example and a unique insight into the contemporary securitization of logistical space.

if you are confused about reading the article, this is the comment that my professor posted on the website. It might help you to understand before you read the article. (do not answer the following questions).

the priority of “market rationality” (for example what is the fastest and most efficient way to do things) how are the lines of geographic borders blurred? Moreover, what impact does the emphasis on speed or accelerated the movement of goods, do to the democratic process or workers rights (i.e. things that take time and are “inefficient”)? How does the discussion of security function today? How do security regulations (like those by ports in the U.S. and Canada) allow discrimination to take place within the law? What are the connections between a new logistical rationality with a colonial and military past? how does the current model of a global supply chain shape how we think about and discuss countless aspects of modern society?

please read the grading guidelines file that I've posted.

Since it is 500-600 words essay, you try to not look at other sources, besides my source that I've attached (If you want, no more than 2 other sources)

in-text Citation should be (Cowen 2010: pg#).

The answer should be direct to the question and detailed (please do avoid a vague argument)
