An annotated bibliography is a list of sources used for research. It may include books, scholarly journals, websites, and periodicals. The annotated bibliography will contain a summary and evaluation of the source. Clinical Problem Identification and PICOT

This assignment identifies a clinical problem that you will seek to address with an evidenced-based solution in Week 6. The clinical problem should be a problem related to nursing practice. The following questions need to be addressed by the literature provided: 

What is the problem? 

Who has the problem (targeted population)?

What is the scope of the problem (Incidence, costs, outcomes)?

How is the problem significant to nursing? How does the problem negatively affect nursing practice?

Support the problem statement with five (5) current, peer-reviewed references that support the presence of that problem. Peer-reviewed journal sources are needed. Five articles published within the last five years are needed.

The problem is presented, not the solution.

A discussion question will be provided for you in Week 3 to share your ideas and gain insight from your colleagues.

Formulate a PICO (T) question to address the problem. The intervention (I) will be the focus of Week 6 and supported by current research evidence.  A PICO (T) format allows you to develop a clinical question and guide research. Submit to assignment link and add assignment to your ePortfolio.
