People do not change until they are uncomfortable.” What are your thoughts on this statement? I have found that people must see the advantage of the change, understand the change, and be engaged to make a change not only occur but perhaps more importantly sustained. Woodward (2015) gives us some guidance regarding change; believe in the change, monitor the change and be positive in both success and failure. Too often, the change is expected to be swift and sure when in reality, change make take time. How do we stay the course while the change takes hold? There are tactics to help make change easer on those effected. What are those tactics and which have the highest level of priority? Be aware also of the importance of sustaining the change.
