evacuated. The membrane separating the two halves is punctured and the air
quickly fills the entire volume. Calculate the specific entropy change of this isolated
system.
Part2.) Two kilograms of steam at 400°C and 600 kPa are cooled at constant pressure by
transferring heat from a cylinder until the steam is completely condensed. The
surroundings are at 25°C. Determine the net entropy production.
Part3.) Superheated steam enters a turbine and exits at 10 kPa. For a mass
flow rate of 2 kg/s, determine the maximum power output.
