The Evidenced-Based Practice paper is the major project in this course. You are expected to work on your EBP paper throughout the course and turn it in at the end of Week 7. The objective of this paper is to introduce you to the nursing literature and nursing research as it relates to evidence-based practice. This project will also help prepare you to help shape clinical practices within your workplace and in the practice of nursing.

To help you manage your time during this project and provide optimum time for you to complete the project, we suggest you do the following on a weekly basis (required items are in bold):

The objective of this paper is to introduce you to the nursing literature and nursing research as it relates to evidence-based practice. A list of broad general topics is provided below. You may also look at other current nursing topics that you may have interest in pursuing. This is only a short list of ideas. Another way to locate a topic is by specialty areas in nursing or selected populations (examples include pediatric, OB, psych, medical, surgical, orthopedics etc.). You might also be interested in a topic as it relates to a client you have provided care to or an ethical dilemma you have encountered in clinical practice.

This is an 8-to-10 page paper (not including cover sheet or references) that requires the use of APA 6th edition style. You will submit your assignment through the courseware at the end of Week 7. Check the Online Canvas Calendar for the exact due date.
