CSS style files

using NOTEPAD++

Create at least five pages for your site. You should build one page and use header, logo, and any navigation as your "template" by making a copy of the page, deleting content, and building a new page by typing in new content. This is probably the way you will build most Web sites.

- Use a Frameset with a Top, Left, and Main frames.

- Or you can use external CSS style files (if you do not want to use Frames) to make layout for your web pages, but it should be consistent throughout complete website, with very distinguished parts: logo/headings, navigation links and main part of the page.

Each page must have a page title inserted in the html, which shows at the title bar at the top of a browser window.

A graphical or textual heading on each page top frame that is consistent throughout the site.

A background color or graphic on all pages.

The five pages should be linked to each other by textual links. I am not expecting you to use button graphics for links.

Include at least TWO tables. They can be on different pages.

Include cell color on at least one table.

Include table borders on at least one table.

Include an E-MAIL link to you on the main page or on contact page.

Insert at leastfive jpg images, or a combination of .jpg and .gif. One can be the header in the top frame.

Images should each have ALT tags.

Search for online information related to your Web site. Develop a list of at leastfive Web sites, using one or more search engines. These pages should be published as links from your site.

At least one of your images (.gif or .jpg) should be an external or internal link (or an image map).

Use Cascading Style Sheets for consistency through your site.

Include a form on one page.

Include a text form field on the form.

Include a list/ menu on the form.

Include a radio group on the form.

Include a check box on the form.

Include Submit and Reset GRAPHICAL buttons on the form. You can either make your buttons or find some on the Web.

Presentation of your new Web site. You will present your Web site as if you were doing it to your target audience or potential clients. If the Web site is of your hobby, consider a presentation to you friends or family. Prepare either a PowerPoint or text transcript (with some screen shots) of how you would present a structured walkthrough of your new Web site.
