manometer fluid density

Reconsider Prob. 2–53. Using EES (or other) software, investigate the effect of the manometer fluid density in the range of 800 to 13,000 kg/m3 on the differential fluid height of the manometer. Plot the differential fluid height against the density, and discuss the results.

Problem 2-53

Both a gage and a manometer are attached to a gas tank to measure its pressure. If the reading on the pressure gage is 80 kPa, determine the distance between the two fluid levels of the manometer if the fluid is (a) mercury ( = 13,600 kg/m3) or (b) water ( = 1000 kg/m3).
