is the study population identified and described?

I need the following questions answered for my attached research articles as well as 2 paragraphs explaining the importance of sampling in research.  This assignment is due 7/14/16.  I have completed the begining of the paper.

  1. For the quantitative research study: (1) is the study population identified and described? (2) What type of sampling plan was used and would an alternative sampling plan have been preferable? And (3) was the sampling plan one that could be expected to yield a representative sample?
  2. For the qualitative research study: (1) is the study population identified and described?; (2) what type of sampling strategy used and, based on the qualitative tradition, was the sampling approach appropriate?; and (3) was the sample size adequate and appropriate and did the researchers mention that saturation was achieved?
