A 78 year old male known case of I.H.D

A 78 year old male known case of I.H.D has been referred to ER with typical chest pain . He has had the disease for years and was under control by anti anginal medications. He has a long time history of Diabetes which is controlled by Metformin and diet. He is a non- smoker and the blood pressure is within normal range. The ER physician ordered sublingual nitroglycerin as stat dose each 5 minutes for 3 times.

The nurse should be aware of which of these important side effects:

A. bradycardia
