Consider the nonlifting flow over a circular cylinder. Calculate the locations on the surface of the cylinder where the surface pressure equals the freestream pressure.

 

 

In the nonlifting flow over a circular cylinder, consider the infinitesimally small fluid elements moving along the surface of the cylinder. Calculate the angular locations over the surface where the acceleration of the fluid elements are a local maximum and minimum. For the case where the radius of the cylinder is 1 m and the freestream flow velocity is 50 m/s, calculate the values of the local maximum and minimum accelerations.
