Two tanks filled with water are connected by two straight circular pipes that have diameters D1 and D2, as shown in the figure.

The water level in the left tank is twice that of the right tank. If the flow through the connection pipes is laminar and can be approximated by the fully developed Poiseuille solution, then the flow through pipe 2 will have the same velocity as the flow through pipe 1 when:
