A steam turbine operates steadily under the following conditions. At the inlet, p =2.5 MPa, T =450 C, and V= 40 m/s. At the outlet, p =22 kPa, T= 70° C, and V =225 m/s. (a) If we neglect elevation changes and heat transfer, how much work is delivered to the turbine blades, in kJ/kg? (b) If the mass flow is 10 kg/s, how much total power is delivered?
