An introduction to the History of Psychology

Our senses take in information and make sense of the world

In this chapter there are various examples of how our senses take in information and make sense of the world.  These phenomenon explain how we can take limited information and create more complex meaning out of it.  "We could argue that this can be constructive or destructive".  Use examples from the textbook  in the Lecture materials,  to help you explain how these abilities manifest in constructive or destructive ways?

Textbook: Hergenhahn, B.R. (2009). An introduction to the History of Psychology (7th Edition). Thompson/ Wadsworth, CA : Belmont. Chapter 10-11

Note: This question needs to incorporate examples from the book as described on the instructions. Please, use easy language and specific and understandable examples, otherwise the instructor will ask the meaning of what you said".

Thank you.
