I was wondering if anyone one could help me with this question to help me better understand.

 

Microsoft created the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to help identify and manage sharable resources worldwide. Both Active Directory and the OS X Open Directory use LDAP.  explain the structure of LDAP and how system administrators apply it within organizations. What are its major strengths and weaknesses? Consider a company like PPI, which has several offices, subsidiaries, and vendors around the world. Outline LDAP policies that would allow effective sharing without compromising security.
