input argument

Write a function that will receive a square matrix as an input argument, and will return a row vector containing the diagonal of the matrix. If the function is called with a vector of two variables on the left side of the assignment, the function will also return the trace of the matrix. (Note: It will only return the trace if there are two variables on the left side of the assignment.) You may assume that the matrix is square. The function must preal locate the diagonal vector to the correct size.
