losecoiled helical compression

A closecoiled helical compression spring made from round wire fits over the spindle of a plunger andhas to work inside a tube. The spindle diameter is 12mm and the tube is of 25mm outside diameter and 0.15 mmthickness. The maximum working length of the spring has to be 120mm and the minimum length 90mm. Themaximum force exerted by the spring has to be 350N and the minimum force 240N. If the shearing stress in thespring is not to exceed 600 MN/m2 find(a) the free length of the spring (i.e. before assembly);(b) the mean coil diameter;(c) the wire diameter;(d) the number of free coils.
