There are a sharp entrance, sharp exit, four 90° elbows, and a gate valve. Estimate (a) the flow rate if the valve is wide open and (b) the valve closing percentage that causes the pump to operate at BEP. (c) If the latter condition holds continuously for 1 year, estimate the energy cost at 10 ¢/kWh.
