Computer Systems Architecture problems.

I need a quick check on 2 Computer Systems Architecture problems. My answers are highlighted. Non-highlighted portions are provided as part of the question.

 

For the second of these questions... I really wasn't sure where to go with this one. I read through the chapter multiple times but nothing seemed to clear it up for me. The highlighted answer was just one that I found in the instructor's manual. But i don't know what that "error" or "ack" control signal is even supposed to look like on the diagram. If you could help clear that up it would be greatly appreciated!!
