Project Option
Purpose
You are now in your final class, the Capstone course, and you have decided upon the “Project” option. You have taken a lot of courses as a part of your program. Part 1 of this Assignment is to help you recall and familiarize yourself with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) as they both are necessary to complete a project successfully.
Part 2 of your Assignment is the Project Proposal. This is the time to really think about your future and determine what kind of IT project you would like to concentrate on to demonstrate the skills and knowledge you have attained from your program. Do you want to manage projects? If so, consider taking the role of an IT Project Manager in this course. However, if you are more of hands-on person, consider the IT Specialist role or consider both roles. But, keep in mind regardless of the role you pick, you will still need to plan out your project. Project planning and time management are important skills for all IT professionals to have. Consider a project that would interest you or help you in your future endeavors. If you need some help, please do not forgot to talk it over with your instructor.
