Needs

Please see attached for info. Needs to be 400-450 words

Needs Kettner et al. discuss four types of needs: 1. Normative Need (Kettner, Moroney, & Martin, 2012, p. 67) When the standard or criterion that was established by a recognized authority is not being met. 2. Perceived Need (Kettner, Moroney, & Martin, 2012, p. 67) When we feel or think our needs to be. 3. Expressed Need (Kettner, Moroney, & Martin, 2012, p. 68) When the need is based off previous services provided to others. 4. Relative Need (Kettner, Moroney, & Martin, 2012, pp. 68-69) Comparing one communities or areas level of service to another with similar communities or geographic areas. In this Discussion, you will define each type and discuss how it may (or may not) relate generally to the program planning process and specifically to the organization from our scenario this week: Care Relief Scenario: Your company, Acme Behavioral Consultation, Inc., has asked you to discuss a new client’s needs. Your client is Care Relief, a large in home respite care service provider for families with family members who have special needs. Care Relief is funded by private pay from families as well as payment from health insurance companies. Quarterly satisfaction surveys indicate that families using Care Relief services are very dissatisfied with employees providing care to their loved ones with special needs. Issues include: Tardiness: Staff are arriving more than 5 minutes late on average for the start of their shift at families’ homes. Inattentiveness: Families report that staff are frequently on their phones, checking email, and engaging minimally with their loved one. Unprofessional behavior: Families report that staff are not wearing proper attire, and often “give attitude.” For this Discussion: 1. Define one type of need 2. How does this type of need relate to the program planning process in general? 3. How does this type of need relate to Care Relief’s problems?
