Objectives

After successfully completing the laboratory assignment you should be able to:

• Employ the components of Microsoft Word 2013.
• Demonstrate how to create, edit, save, and print a document using Microsoft Word 2013.
• Use formatting tools available in Microsoft Word 2013.
• Use Google Drive (cloud storage) to save and share documents.

 

Assignment

1. Read pages WD 1 through WD 58 in the laboratory textbook, Microsoft Office 2013: Essential.
2. Complete Lab 1 on pages WD 58 through WD 60.
3. After completing Lab 1, access your Google account. If you need instructions on how to access your Google account via the TESU portal, remember to reference the How to Access a Google Account page in the Resources section of the course website. Note: If you need instructions on any of the steps listed below, be sure to reference the How to Upload a Document to Google Drive page.
4. Access Google Drive and upload your Lab 1 document to Google Docs.
5. Share the link with anyone at TESU to "anyone with the link can view."
6. Copy the shared link and paste it into page 2 of your Lab 1 assignment file.
7. Save your work and submit the file for grading.
8. Complete Labs 2 and 3 on pages WD 60 through WD 63.
