Build a Decision Table for the getDiscount( ) method that calculates the discount for a Big Box Warehouse store based on the following description:

A minimum 5 percent discount applies to all purchases. If the retailer maintains an average monthly purchase volume of at least $100,000, a 15 percent discount applies, provided the retailer is a club member. When the retailer's purchase volume is under $100,000, the discount is 12 percent for club members and 7 percent for non-club members. Retailers who are not club members, but who maintain a $100,000 monthly purchase volume, qualify for a 10 percent discount, unless their purchase totals less than $35,000.

 

Provide a implementation of the getDiscount( ) method using selection statements and another version without the selection statements. Please note, I am not expecting you to be writing a complete compliable program just the method implementation in any language of your choice.

 

Hint: Start by identifying the different conditions and if necessary, assign a single character identifier to each possibility. Next identify the actions.

 

Once you build the decision table, analyze the decision table and see if there are any discrepancies in terms of fairness on the discounts that are applied.
