Four major methodologies exist: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Prototyping, Rapid Application Development (RAD), and Phased Development. Please respond to all of the following prompts:

·        A set of house blueprints is an example of a methodology, and a carpenter uses various tools in applying that methodology.

o   What are some other examples of every day methodologies and corresponding tools?

·        How could an IS steering committee ensure that prototyping projects do not skip over definition, alternative evaluation and documentation?
