Technology does not exist in a vacuum; technological advancements often have far-reaching impact. A new technology may revolutionize an industry (and render many employee positions obsolete). New technologies may impact the ability of an individual to protect his or her privacy. A conscientious industry professional should understand not only the technology, but its potential impact on individuals, organizations, and society.

For this assignment, select one of the technologies/products below.

Possible topics for research:
