CIS 3309 Spring 2016 Final Project Overview This project will test your creativity as well as your C# skills. The project is to create an approximate facsimile of the Wawa hoagie kiosk. The application should let the user navigate through forma to order prepared foods for a deli or convenience store. The initial form should contain at least 3 categories of food categories (hoagies, pizza, soups, etc.). At least 2 food items must have a custom configuration Form that add items, such as toppings and sizes. This will likely take some thought. All the data for the Form configuration must be read from the database, such that Forms can be added to the application and Buttons to Forms. Some Forms will have Buttons and others will perform an operation, such as commit the order and print the receipt. The example below will show how to achieve these requirements. The DynFormEx application The flowchart below shows the flow of control for the dynamic form example. The first Form is instantiated from the main method in the Program.cs class and appears when the application is run. The Indian Collection and Harley Collection Forms are accessed by clicking the appropriate Button on the Dream Bike Collection Form. The Open an Image Form is opened when one of the Buttons is clicked on either the Indian Collection Form or the Harley Collection Form. When a Form closes, the control returns to the Form that opened it. This is desirable because child Forms don’t have to deal with explicitly passing control to another Form. Initial Form “Joe’sDream Bike Colllection ” The Indian Collection Form The Harley Collection Form Open an Image (Form is passed file location of image) Indian Button clicked Harley Button clicked Form close Image Button clicked Image Button clicked Form close Form close Start Exit The image below is the initial Form. When the application is run, the Form load event for the initial Form creates an array of configurations for Forms to be instantiated and shows the first form. All the data that configures the non-fixed settings for Forms is read from the DB and placed into a configuration array with all data needed to render all necessary forms. The image below is shown when the Indian Button is clicked. The Buttons are instantiated from the Form configurations in the array. Clicking a Button shows a image of the bike and clicking the Settings Button closes the application. The Form below shows the clicked image. Clicking anywhere on the image closes the Form. Good luck. I suggest starting this right away. You will need to create a Product class to store the current state of the order. You will also need a way to add toppings and size data to Products. The Products and toppings for Products will need to be stored in the DB in tables the parallel the Buttons. This will be the last assignment of the semester and is 20 percent of your final grade. Each order should be stored to a table in the database to make a record of the order. Be as creative as you want.
