completing the revisions for my Network Vulnerability

I need help completing the revisions for my Network Vulnerability Assessment. Below are the revisions suggested by my professor. I've also attached a partially revised copy of the paper. I need help making sure that I've completed all of the revisions in a way that depicts understanding of the assigned project. The revision suggestions are as follows (there is also a word document attached that lists the suggested recommendations for improvement): 

 

Requested Revision Recommendations

·        Describe the secure wireless network implementation

·        "Thus, it needs to be replaced with a few newer routers Like the NETGEAR WNDAP660 [15]."

o  Good it does need to be replaced. Please give a specific recommendation for a new router and explain why it is superior to the MR814.

·        Describe how the network will be monitored.

o  Describe how Intrusion Detection & Handling will be performed.

 

·        Describe how Windows machines will be networked.

o  Identify a domain solution.

·        Describe the security configurations on the web server beyond deployment in the DMZ.

·        Describe the security configurations of the email server. Describe how the email messaging will be securely transmitted and stored.

·        Describe the replacement of the modem.

o  Identify the recommended hardware.

·        "Installing a managed switch will effectively allow the network administrator(s) the capability to "configure the switch and to prioritize LAN traffic""

o  Describe how this positively impacts the security of the network.

·        "Virtual LANS should also be structured within the star topology in order to aid with the division of the various network user groups."

o  Good, please go further and recommend how these groups or segments should be divided. Please mention the positive impact of doing this.

 

·        "However, configuring a guest wireless hotspot that "builds on the company's existing WLAN infrastructure" would diminish the need for additional equipment purchases [22]."

o  What does this mean? Please clarify.

·        Describe how some of the following network services will be used to secure the network: DHCP, DNS, IPsec, encryption, SNMP, etc.

·        Describe what other authentication methods beyond username and password should be used on the network.

·        Provide more detail on why devices and services were recommended in contrast to what is currently implemented at the small accounting firm.

·        Provide descriptions on what the new devices are and services offer.
