In the single-phase rectifier circuit of Fig. 5-20, assume the ac-side impedance to be negligible. Instead, an inductance Ld is placed between the rectifier output and the filter capacitor. Derive the minimum value of Ld in terms of Vs, ω, and Id that will result in a continuous id assuming that the ripple in vs is negligible.
