This week's required reading includes a chapter on supporting arguments with logos, ethos, and pathos. Review the examples shown in your text, and then think of a real-life scenario that would require you to build an argument, perhaps relating to your job, your studies, or your relationships with family and friends. Describe the scenario in a few sentences and then clearly list the Topic, Issue, Audience, and Claim. Finally, discuss which of the three types of support (logos, ethos, or pathos) should be relied upon most heavily in your argument, and why. (Think of this as practice for your essay due this week, where you must also identify the types of support and argument used (logos, ethos, and pathos) in the article you choose to evaluate.)
