1. Explain how the lack of metrics for measuring certain software properties affects the software engineering discipline.

2. Suppose you had a metric for measuring the complexity of a software system. Would that metric be cumulative in the sense that the complexity of a complete system would be the sum of the complexities of its parts? Explain your answer.

3. Suppose you had a metric for measuring the complexity of a software system.
