(a) Determine the effect a “load misalignment” of θ = 2° has on the orientation of the neutral axis. Show the neutral axis on a sketch of the cross section. (b) Determine the maximum tensile flexural stress acting on the cross section and compare this stress with the maximum stress in the beam if the load were property aligned (i.e., θ = 0°).
