A student takes the data in 75-25PERCENTILES2002.MTW that were used in Section 8.2.5 and also in Chapter 1. The student decides to use the 25th percentile score as the dependent variable, and the 75th percentile score as the independent variable, which is the reverse of what was done in Section 8.2.5. The student fits the model and computes R2. Will it be the same value as was obtained in Section 8.2.5? Why or why not?
