soft-drink container

A 2-liter soft-drink container, nearly full of water and open to the atmosphere, is placed on the floor. Where could you locate an orifice in the side of the bottle so that the jet of water that squirts out will have the maximum range? Keep the bottle filled by continuously pouring water in the container as the tests are conducted. Justify your answer with theory by discussion rather than equations.
