red-light crossing

Two cars start from rest at a red-light crossing. When the light turns green, both cars accelerate. The blue car accelerates uniformly at a rate of for 3.5 seconds before applying the brakes. Soon after hitting the brakes, the speed of the blue car decreases uniformly coming to the rest at 150m from where it started. Simultaneously the yellow car accelerates uniformly for the entire distance, finally catching up the blue car just as it comes to the stop. (a) What is the acceleration of the blue car once the brakes are applied? (b) What is the total time of travel of the yellow car?
