 attacks are one of the easier attacks to perpetrate on a network, so they’re often used by people who have a grudge against a company or are out to commit acts of vandalism. To read about recent trends in DoS and DDoS attacks, do a Web search for “continued rise of  attacks” and read the paper by Symantec. Read the first eight pages, and write a summary of what you found, including answers to these questions:

• What’s the largest attack volume (in ) as of the paper’s writing?
