fluid velocity

During a test on a circular duct 2 m in diameter it was found that the fluid velocity was zero at the duct surface and 6 m s−1 on the axis of the duct when the flow rate was 9 m3 s−1 . Assuming the velocity distribution to be given by

where u is the fluid velocity at any radius r, determine the values of the constants c1, c2 and n, specifying the units of c1 and c2.

Evaluate the mean velocity and determine the radial position at which a Pitot tube must be placed to measure this mean velocity.
