One aspect of your role as a campus leader will be to provide supportive feedback to your faculty and staff in a variety of settings. As a leader it is important to understand that providing effective feedback can be an essential part of a person’s learning and growth. You should reflect on why you are giving the feedback. Are you trying to improve a situation or a person’s performance? Your approach to feedback should be positive and focused on improvement.

Wiggins (2012) suggested that to be effective, feedback should be specific and personalized as well as actionable and timely. When providing feedback you are offering valuable information that should be useful to another person. In your feedback, your specific advice should be relevant, immediate and clearly actionable.

Instructions:

Each week candidates will submit a selected weekly assignment to Discussion Board. You will provide quality feedback to a minimum of two colleagues regarding their assignment in each week’s discussion board.

You will post your Stakeholder Communication Plan to Discussion Board by Thursday at 11:59 pm, and provide quality feedback to a minimum of two colleagues by Sunday at 11:59 pm. 

Your initial post is a draft Stakeholder Communication Plan (see instructions for the plan in the assignment tab). Then, it is your responsibility to provide feedback to at least two of your colleagues. GOOD NEWS! You may use the feedback provided to you to make adjustments in your Stakeholder Communication Plan prior to submitting it as an assignment. Your initial post is due by Thursday at 11:59 PM. The feedback to your colleagues is due by Sunday at 11:59 PM.
