A stainless steel rod has a square cross section measuring 1 by 1 cm. The rod length is 8 cm, and k = 18 W/m2. OC. The base temperature of the rod is 300OC. The rod is exposed to a convection environment at 50OC with h = 45 W/m2.OC. Calculate the heat lost by the rod and the fin efficiency.
