Select a company or ETF with listed options. There are 100s of companies to select from.
You may got to Yahoo Finance or NASDAQ.com among others.
CBOE is a great options web site.
For the company or ETF you select, choose ONE call option and ONE put option.
Make sure that the two options have the same expiration and the same strike price.
For each of a LONG position and a SHORT position of the CALL:
calculate the profits and payffos at expiration, Maximum gain, maximum loss and breakeven point.
Also plot the profit/loss and payoff charts.
For each of a LONG position and a SHORT position of the PUT:
calculate the profits and payffos at expiration, Maximum gain, maximum loss and breakeven point.
