Assignment Overview

Thus far you have learned more about yourself and began to examine a few of the important components of your venture idea. Along the way, you will enjoy some aspects of planning while other times you will not find enjoyment in the research. What one must understand is that each component of the business plan holds a place in identifying the key factors of success, therefore, enabling the ability to move past the visualization of your dream. The business plan is an outline of the problem an organization is attempting to solve and what steps will be taken to accomplish this. The comprehensiveness of the plan contributes to the fact that each content area of the business plan holds great value (to insiders and outsiders) 

Assignment Instructions

The business plan will be a series of assignments accomplished over a few weeks culminating with a video presentation submission.

• This week you will begin the plan with a submission of the Cover Page, Company Description, and Industry/Target Customer/Competitor Analysis.  
• Enjoy this process! Not only are learning more about what you need to succeed, but you are learning more about your venture as well! The text, college, and the Internet provides great examples and resources to enable a smooth planning process. 

Assignment Directions

• Minimum length requirement is three to four APA formatted pages with at least one outside source (in addition to your text) cited within your paper.
• Submit your completed assignment here by clicking the 'Submit Assignment" button. Please check the Course Calendar for specific due dates.
• Save your assignment as a Microsoft Word document. (Mac users, please remember to append the ".docx" extension to the filename.) The name of the file should be your first initial and last name, followed by an underscore and the name of the assignment, and an underscore and the date. An example is shown below:
