  1. Discuss the process that occurs when you meet people for the first time. Take into consideration, for example, how you determine what the person is like and what he or she is likely to do. 
  2. Describe an example of both an accurate and an inaccurate perception that you have formed about someone when meeting him or her for the first time. What was different about the two situations—that is, why was one perception accurate and the other not? Explain how you might overcome any mistakes you made when forming these perceptions.
  3. In addition to materials covered in the class readings and lecture pages, your paper must incorporate at least three peer-reviewed scholarly articles that are not assigned as readings in this course.
