If i were to describe to a friend what sociology is, I would explain to them that is the study in human behavior, how social structures, social-economic, race, gender, and sex plays a main role around us. The way how society needs to improve more to be more informative in main issues that occurs around the globe, like stratification, poverty and child abuse on the hands of men. Over the course of this class my idea of sociology has changed a lot. Before starting this class, I thought sociology was simple and basic but now I think it is more complex. I would describe it as the culture, stratification, and function of humans and how they interact within a society.Â

third student:
At the beginning of this course, I only had a faint idea of what sociology meant. I knew the definition, the study of society, but over time I came to understand the true complexity of sociology. I became familiar with many different sociological concepts, theories, sociologists, and began to grasp how everything in life can be studied from a sociological perspective. Sociology is the study of society, and society is everything around us. Essentially, sociology can be defined as the study of how all of these things in our environment affect us, or came to be as a result of fulfilling society's needs. Thanks to this course I recognize how every small part of our surroundings has affected us and our view of the world, and how this can transition as we go through life and experience changes.Â
