Last week, you read research into the medical causes of infant mortality. This week, you will study research into the social, economic, and cultural causes of infant mortality. In 2011, according to the World Health Organization, the United States infant mortality rates fell behind among modern nations, such as Cuba, Malaysia, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.
