group of cattle will receive a standard diet and a second group will receive the standard diet plus the supplement. The researcher wants to have 90% power to detect an increase in mean weight gain of 20 kg, using a one-tailed t test at  . Based on previous experience, he expects the SD to be 17 kg. How many cattle does he need for each group?
