Use a universal remote control for an entertainment system (TV, TIVO, etc) as an example. Write a report about all the measurement parameters for this item. It must have a nice feel in the hand – surface measurements, not slippery – resistance to slide, IR or frequency signal, button contacts, spring beneath buttons, weight, etc. Think up as much as possible and write it down. Then select measurements and document the following:Why are you measuring the particular item? How are you going to measure it? What systems and why?
