While Disney and Pixar (among others) have shown us that it is possible to make successful movies (both financially and critically) without using actors (except for voices), actors remain an important part of cinema. Many critics continue to see acting as the heart of a movie.

 

Pick a scene from a movie you have watched this term and describe the acting in it. Does it focus on stars? Does it use professional actors exclusively? Are there extras?
