Start thinking about your research paper topic and be prepared to submit the topic next week during Module 2.
Â
A draft of your research paper is due in Module 7 and will be worth 5% of your grade. A draft does not mean an outline. It means a nearly complete paper. If you work with me throughout the term, it will not be difficult to meet that requirement. I will grade the draft paper and include comments that can result in an improved product and grade.
Â
The research paper will be the final course product and will be due at the beginning of the 9th week.
Â
Your objective is to develop an organizational behavior analysis for an organization in the aviation industry (discuss this issue with your instructor).
Â
The analysis must address leadership, organizational design, organizational culture, managerial roles, global business, change and innovations, e-commerce, and e-business. You will choose ONE specific variable from each of these topics and conduct a mini-literature review on each variable (contact your instructor).
Â
You will then apply the information that you learned from the literature review in analyzing the organization that you chose (contact your instructor).
Â
The paper should be written according to the Modified APA style and contain 12-15 pages of content (excluding appendices, table of contents, abstract, reference, and bibliography). The paper will be graded in accordance with the Research Paper Rubric.
Â
The outline should resemble the following:
Â
Title Page (not included in page total)
Abstract (not included in page total)
   Introduction (1 - 2 pages)
Discussion of the theoretical concepts and variables
       Aspects of Leadership
       Organizational Design
       Change and Innovations
       Managerial Roles
       Global Business Aspects
       E-commerce/E-business
   Analysis of the XYZ organization
       Aspects of Leadership
       Organizational Design
       Change and Innovations
       Managerial Roles
       Global Business Aspects
       E-commerce/E-business
